7 Types of Allergy Causes

1. Drug Allergies

It is a reaction of the immune system to a medicine. It could be prescription, non-prescription and herbal. Common symptoms for a drug allergy are hives, rash, and fever.

2. Food Allergies

The difference between a food allergy and intolerance is a food allergy occurs when the immune system reacts to certain proteins in food and food intolerance occurs when the body has a chemical reaction to eating a particular food or drink.

3. Insect Allergies

The most common insect allergy is Dust Mites. According to the AAFA (Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America), around 20 million Americans are allergic to dust mites, meaning they're one of the most common triggers of allergies and asthma. Dust mites are tiny creatures, invisible to the naked eye.

4Latex Allergies

People can have a reaction to certain proteins found in natural rubber latex which comes from the rubber tree. Your body mistakes latex for a harmful substance.

5. Mold Allergies

If you have an allergy to mold, its presence in your home can make you feel sick. More importantly, it is mold spores that can have a negative impact on your health. The symptoms triggered by mold exposure can vary from person to person.

6. Pet Allergies

Pet Dander can cause problems with people prone to airborne allergies. Saliva and Urine can also cause problems.  Dander is dead skin cells that you’re pet sheds and can be compared to dandruff in humans. People with overactive immune systems can have a reaction to the proteins secreted by the glands on the animal’s skin surface.

7. Pollen Allergies

Pollen season can be a miserable time for those with hay fever. Whether you're allergic to just one type of pollen, such as grass pollen, or react to several types of pollen during the main pollen-release period, you likely must spend most of the summer indoors.
